does acceleration from stop seem sluggish?(M-DCT)

I still have my old SMG M3 and the throttle response is very immediate. Now in the new M-DCT, for some reason it feels "sluggish" when stepping ont he gas....almost like there was a little lag. I'm on sport plus mode power wise and still the same. Anyone else have this ?

Seems a liiiiiiiiiiiitle bit, especially with the power button off. How many miles on the car? To be honest I haven't played with the sport throttle settings too much yet though.

It is, but you have to remember this is NOT an automatic car, its a manual car with an automatic setting.
If you want an automatic then get a 335.

Acceleration never feels sluggish to me in any mode. But with the throttle set to normal, it does take a pretty good push on the pedal to get the car to move. This goes away if you put it in sport mode.

I'm comparing it to my SMG M3 not an automatic. the old SMG felt a lot more responsive in terms of throttle effort , was just wondering if other people felt that.

It's possible its cause you're not feeling the jerk forward that comes with SMG.

No sluggish here but in the softer modes the car feels just like a manual does when easing out the clutch. You can dial that out if you prefer.

I agree that there is a feeling here to be noted. It seem right on initial take off that the clutch can be slow and it takes quite a bit more gas than a "normal" car to get things going. I'm not sure I agree that higher Drivelogic modes or throttle setings affect this. I need to do some more testing. More discussion would be great.

My feelings exactly on these two statements. So far DCT is great for me. I had my doubts coming from a MT, but this is awesome.

The DSG was exactly the same when pulling away from a stop. Not quite the same as an automatic but not that far away, at least once you are on the move all of this sluggishness goes away completely.
