I dealt with BMW directly in Munich the last time BMW NA annoyed me... the issue got resolved within 3 days. BMW headquarters has very little tolerance when it comes to BS like that.
You still have the contact name? I have a little rant I like to take up with the people at headquarters.

I like to see how they respond to this ---> Scroll to the picture below on this thread to read about it

Scroll down the thread until you find my "final solution picture"

Ok, BMW strikes again.......
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think your issue is with BMWNA and NOT with BMW AG per say.

I can assure you that the BMW Company is an outstanding organization if it would not be then the German Government would have long seen to it to have them before the courts or close there doors.

I do think BMW AG Germany should conduct more quality assurance checks to make sure that the interests of there company are properly represented. Then issues like you have experienced or I would not occur that often.

I know what I am talking abut, you see this picture below it cost me $1000- including the accomudation and expenses I laid out while waiting for a replacement wheel during my vacation trip.

The US Dealership told me that since my car is a Canadian car the warrenty will not apply once I returned to Canada I dealt with BMW Customer Relations in Canada and the USA for 6 months. The people I dealt with shoved me from one spot to the next. In my view all uninformed and inexperienced people. Including the so called BMW Technical Representative that finnaly examined this wheel here in Canada and declared it bend. Totally ignoring the fact that 2 mechanics in the USA Tire shop removed the stiff RFT from this soft alloy wheel.

Yes we do come across some inexperiance individuals, still it does not justify to condemn the company as a whole. BMWNA yes BMW AG I don't think so.

Anyway my humble opinion on this issue.

PS.

I still like to (and I will on my next trip to München Germany) take this issue of my $1,000- wheel hanging in my garage up with an upper management BMW representative. I guess I am the only one on my street if not in this town having a BMW wheel aiding as a garden hose storage. :D
BMW AG is as responsible as BMW NA if they know about these types of issues but don't deal with them.

And BMW AG is equally responsible if they don't know about these issues, which would indicate a lack of quality control.

I bet you're really going to be pissed when you find out that a dead battery is also not covered under your CPO warranty...
LOL, Word !! I was screwed too. The day I bought my 08 CPO'ed M3. Three people couldn't pair my iPhone and I was impatient and figured that I'd be more savvy and I could pair it when I get home...

Long story shot, I have a faulty TCU module and said "electronics" are not covered under CPO...

and to top that off, my wife's Explorer's so called Smart key/Comfort access works much Much MUCH better that my CA...
what lol

Or any previous body work that was performed.....

IMO CPO is nothing but crap.

A family member bought a CPO 330i back in the day and its rear quarter panel started to rust.... When he took it in while still under warranty BMW dealer wanted to do nothing with it..... Yes, the car had clean car fax (which also means nothing) but its quarter panel was resprayed then later on rusted away.

Yea thats a hard pill to swallow.

cpo really wont cover water leaks, trim gaskets, batteries; things like that. For the mist part, its like a mechanical breakdown type of plan.

Not at all, I view batteries and bulbs as wear and tear items that I would never expect to be covered by a warranty.

If you cover a transmission, and the trans needs software to work properly, how do you not cover the reprogramming. It's freaking common sense.
