3 weeks till i leave for ED!!!

Finally I've picked mine on Tuesday. However the weather is getting worse these days. I will post up pictures as soon as the sun comes back!

Hi everyone! I did a ED pick-up a few weeks ago and wanted to post some of the pictures. Once I have the trip summary put together, I will post a link to that as well

The pick-up process was so exciting, and now comes the long wait to have the car back again! I think mine should arrive mid-late November.

And yes, the wait is painful. Coming from someone who is 5 weeks post drop off, waiting for a car to be released from VPC.

Wow, the delay is that long for redelivery? I'd have thought it was no more than 3-4 weeks max if you drop it back at the factory.

ED paperwork says to expect 6-8 weeks for east cost re-delivery, 8-10 weeks for West cost, and 12 weeks for Hawaii.

She has arrived! Going to Greenville for PCD on Friday.



I turned in the 11 yesterday. It was a very sad day and I am sorry to see her go.

Surprisingly, the car was detailed very well. I had a chance to examine the car in the detailing room, which had CFL lighting. This light will show any paint defects, and I didn't see anything, no swirls, no holograms, was very impressed

Congrats!! Have you had a chance to remove the silicone-based glazes they put on the car? Once the glaze is removed, minor defects become readily apparent. Mine had some swirls on the hood and trunk lid. That glaze was a pain to remove.

No glaze that I saw.... I have had the car professionally detailed since I took delivery. I had (Leather Treatment and Opticoat) .. my detailer said that the car was in very good shape, considering the last people to detail it were the dealership.

Is the glaze you are speaking about ... the same that is on the car when it comes off the ship??? If so, I thought that the VDC took that stuff off?
