^^ if you need any help Jimmy, I'd be glad to lend a hand or a tool.
Thanks buddy! :cool!:

I'm headed on vacation for a couple weeks and will hopefully hear from BPM Sport soon after to get this wrapped up.

"That exhaust is overpriced for the sound you get." -Dbag

Reading comp101. Maybe it's not what you MEANT to imply...but you made a direct correlation between "sound" and price. Whether you meant loudness or quality of sound is irrelevant. Both are stupid comments... You're paying that price obviously for OEM build quality/fit and the BMW name.
+1, personally, I think it is the best exhaust for the money. The sound is 1000 X better than the original OEM, the weight reduction, the lack of drone at freeway cruising, the material and fit and finish is top notch. Given that it is made of Inconel®, I think it is actually a great value.

Eisenmann Racing Technology understands the value of this material as well:

"Eisenmann Exhaust Systems GmbH presents the first INCONEL® rear silencer for the BMW M3

· Nickel chrome alloy performs better than titanium
· 40 percent lighter than the production silencer
· Optimised gas conduction makes for greater performance and torque
· All for 5,355.- Euros including VAT

In presenting the new rear silencer for the current BMW M3 deploying INCONEL® technology, we're bringing Formula 1 race engineering to the streets. This alloy, also used by NASA, is exceptional in terms of its extreme stability and heat resistance.

While titanium, at upwards of around 400 degrees Celsius, can react critically with elements in the atmosphere and can form embrittlement cracking in the long term, INCONEL® outclasses it in all respects being completely temperature-stable even at over 1000 degrees.

Our engineers' objective was to produce a racing technology weight and performance optimised sports silencer for everyday use. The result: a rear silencer which is twelve kilograms lighter - a 40% weight-saving over the production model - and which possesses the accustomed-to Eisenmann GmbH longevity. The ingenious internal design of the silencer guarantees increased performance. And responsible for the characteristic Eisenmann Exhaust Systems GmbH sound are the four hallmark-designed 76mm diameter tail pipes.

The rear silencer for the BMW M3 can be had for 5,355.- Euros including VAT, likewise for the saloon (E90), the coupé (E92) and the convertible (E93)."

"Titanium was then - Inconel Alloy is now!" -Eisenmann

I love the M Perf exhaust! It balances so perfectly with the engine/induction noise. Super quality, super light, gorgeous tips and the beautiful tone w/o drone, totally worth the ~$3K price tag IMHO. I found race exhausts drone out the engine at lower RPM's/under load too much. You should be able to get it installed under $100.

I ordered some Turner test pipes to match up with my M Performance exhaust. I'll get some before and after clips with my GoPro3. They're en route and I'll get a chance to install them next Sunday.
I thought it sounded terribad with the Turner Test Pipes.

I sold it. :(
Every time this topic comes up a few talk about how overpriced it is and the people who actually have it love it and have no regrets, with a few exceptions, often after trying many other setups. YMMV

hehe, I was not a fan and sold mine. As soon as my 2013 is broken in, the Innotech in the garage is going on. (Rear section with TTPs)

I found that the Performance exhaust was way too quiet... and sounded terrible with the test pipes (although just about a perfect loudness). The Innotech is about the same closed and open it's really awesome sounding.
Love the M Performance exhaust. Its just if you want to do the primary cat deletes it can be quite raspy. I actually like some rasp, but it was a tad to much. I remember hearing kitw's car with the Turner Test Pipes and the M Performance exhaust, sounded great except in a certain range it had a good amount of rasp.

On an OEM car I think its one of the best sounding exhausts out there. Thats just it though, it was designed for a completely OEM midsection.

I'll admit to rich for my blood. I refuse to spend more than $1500 for a catback kit, thats why I just love my Megan :D.

Hey buddy...welcome back. Just thinking of you regarding this post.

I am sure its a well made exhaust, and sounds good. My problem biggest problem would be it not being loud enough. I really never seen a car maker offer a loud enough system.

Cool, thanks for sharing. I'll probably just have resonators welded into the test pipes before I even bother installing them. Sounds too raspy for me.

Edit: Actually after watching it all the way through, it's not nearly as bad from the inside of the car. Your video description praises the sound, yet now you say it's terribad. So which is it? Could you describe it better? thanks
Anyone try matching it to an x-pipe with HFCs? I wonder if it would be less raspy that way?

So does it make the sound in the cabin quieter, louder or the same compared to the stock exhaust?

A few of the companies offer that setup. It sounds pretty nice to me! I'm looking at the AA kit.

Having heard a decatted car with the MPE in person, I bet this would be perfect. The rasp IMO is not that bad, I think kitw is extra sensitive to rasp and that's fine, do your thing, but it's not gospel and neither he nor anyone else can decide what sounds good to you, that's why we have a for sale section full of used exhausts

At small throttle openings and cruising, it is as quiet as stock. However, when you open it up and rev it to redline it is louder than stock. And sounds awesome in the process .
^exactly! The ///M PE has a dual personality!

I'll have some audio for you soon with my x-pipe installed...It's not that raspy although prevalent. I like it, the way the sound resonates is the most exotic I've heard..and remember I'm coming from Eisenmann race w/ x-pipe. Its definitely wayyy quieter than my old setup under 3K (but with an amazing tone). Above 3K you still hear engine but it opens up nicely and gets loud. Not sure which one I like more

It is louder in the cabin from idle on up...most of the time. When you're just coasting not much difference than stock but as soon as there is any throttle input it wakes up where the stock exhaust doesn't. Guys that like the db's of a Race exhaust will most likely find the M Perf to be too quiet, it's a Sport exhaust, not a Race. It's my "Goldilocks" exhaust, not too quiet, not too loud...just right.
^ LOL on the description. I like it.
best sounding for this car in my opinion...
I have the ///PE and love it. It's a head turner too. I am considering Turner test pipe with BPM (Mike Benvo) stage II tune. I already have the stage I tune and I think to a degree brings the best out of the ///PE. Sound very exotics and although pricey, I think it's worth the $$$ given the oem fitment and the no drone. ;)
Is the aural feedback detectable and clear on the inside, or is it the mic real sensitive. I rode in a friends and barely heard it from inside the cabin ( perhaps it was because the muffler was not broken in).
