IND helped me build a ///MONSTER

I had been looking for a suitable replacement shift knob for a while. My search took me to TWM Performance and their unique approach to a solution for BMWs. They provide a threaded adapter for the BMW shift lever that is secured with three set screws. Then the shift knob can be torqued down onto the threads of the adapter. The result is a very secure knob. I chose TWMs competition series knob and I am very happy with the product.

Shift knob looks awesome man.

i'm getting a shift knob from Twm as well.

how did you solve the boot issue? did you separate your existing one from the oem knob? or did you buy a another boot?

i want to preserve my oem knob, so i have to get another boot. leatherZ makes one, but man is it expensive. interested in seeing how you went about this.

I cut my original knob off the end of the boot. After that I folded the edges over and secured the fold with hot glue. The final result looks great.

Yeah let me know if you have any other questions. I really love my TWM shift knob and I cannot say enough good things about it.

Was that you I saw heading east on Garnet in PB the morning of the HRE open house last week? Can't be too many SG E92s w/ a GT wing in San Diego right??? If so, I was the idiot traveling the other direction in my buddy's ML while gawking...

Only thing I would change is the wheel color but is a personal thing. Great job on the build, I enjoyed reading your documentation.

Cool, I never even knew such a color E90 m3 existed! Isn't this color originally for the Z4?

If "only" it was a 6-speed manual I would probably be calling the dealer to discuss further. The tan interior can easily be swapped out but not the tranny sadly
