I couldn't do that to you bro. This thing has too low miles, so all sorts of parts are probably dried out from lack of use. The repair costs would probably be staggering.

Come to think of it, there may be something wrong with this car. The previous owner only put 200 miles on it the year prior to my buying it. He probably couldn't stand that horrible new car smell every time he got in it. Finally got sick of it and traded it in. Now I'm stuck with it.

Lots of weird things I notice about this car...

I popped the hood and the engine is like twice the size of every other car I see. I guess BMW didn't learn how to make efficient engines until later on. I feel bad because we're supposed to be thinking green.

If you keep the gas pedal pushed to the floor, the engine revs up way past where a "normal" engine wants to go, and it starts making this loud noise. Its kind of a metallic howl, like Ronnie James Dio fronting a wolf choir in a rendition of Sinatra's "I Did It My Way".
Oddly, a lot of people that see me go by when the car is doing that that give me the "thumbs up" sign. They're probably just showing that they're glad someone else got stuck with this car instead of them.

Took a wee drive on the Island. What a fantastic route. Roads are pretty good and, well, it did not take the estimated 4 hours...

The S65 sounds sooo good. Thirsty pig, but a wonderful pig.

I did a short weekend trip to the Okanagan. Surprisingly not too much long weekend traffic once I got past Hope.



The mountain passes and canyons were amazing with this car, even in 36C degree heat.

May have had a little too much fun though. Car threw several transmission malfunction codes when I got back home. 005A48, 005A55, 005073 and 005074.

Car is at dealer since yesterday getting diagnosed. So fair SA said everything points to a random electronic fault. Nothing wrong with the transmission from what they could tell.

Registered it and got tags and paid a bunch of money to the state of Maryland to enjoy it!!! Can't wait to run it up to MPact on Saturday.

I went out to carve out Skyline Drive and visit Luray Caverns on Sunday. Great weather and a good time.

We'll have to plan make that run together soon. Once it gets a bit cooler but while it's still dry.

Haven't done much in a few days at all. Gotta renew my insurance later. Expires on the 9th of August.

Washed it and found some carnage from hitting a blown out tire on the freeway the other day, right as I switched lanes in heavy traffic, at speed, the fucker came out of nowhere! I cut hard and clipped it, I thought it hit the wheel but apparently not.. it put some nasty gouges in the front bumper right where the splitter would sit and deposited rubber all over it, glad I didn't install the splitters yet Bumper looks like shit anyway from a cheap respray from the PO.

I like Bmore. I took a drive up to Fells last weekend, didn't like those cobble stones one little bit though lol

Took her to 8k on the on-ramp in 2nd for no reason other than I like to let the sewing machine sing, it's Friday and I had a Prius tailgating me.

Got a full tank of gas. Haven't really been into the car much so I didn't renew my insurance yet. Its parked in the car with the CTEK connected.

Also - Sent everyone the email for the map update.
