Just got a call from the Stealership... They are saying it was a fuel injector failure and that caused the engine to blow.... Warranty does not cover the fuel injector they say.... I'm calling bullshit... I will be going down to the Stealership tomorrow and figure this all out... I know I spun a bearing, but have not had a confirmation from a BMW technician regarding what has happened.
Does anyone know if that's even possible (fuel injector failure will blow the engine)??!??!?!! When my engine blew it was driving just fine... then all of a sudden limp mode and dead engine...

Does century not cover the injectors or do they not cover the engine because it was caused by injector failure? That seems stupid to me...its a mechanical failure that couldn't have been foreseen...

OP: yes, an injector saying stuck open will blow an engine. It's quite rare, much more rare than rod bearing failure

much much worse than i thought! the one time you wish you spun a bearing and you didnt!!!!! RB would have been covered by my warranty and i would have gotten a new engine, but my fuel injector failed without any warning...
I did have a Valve Cover Gasket leak that was fixed in Nov 2019, could that have maybe damaged the fuel injector??? i know the injectors are on the side of the engine so doesnt seem like it should happen... just a freak accident and my very very bad luck i guess
