What have you done with or to your M3 today?

Installed a new guage. I don't know about dem hp numbers.....you can call it "Troll HP" other than that I like it!

for some reason, i have always been biased against Continental
and I have always had poor experience with Bridgestone tires
so I stick to Michelin
I'm glad the MPS4S tires are one of the best around

So over the holidays i finally got the airbox lid to complete the set. Sound is epic now...the lid made it slightly higher pitched, which i love. Blends very well with the MPE. The quality is top notch and fitment is perfect. A couple pics showing the weave in different lighting:

I pulled the front and rear glass off the car. Time for a CF roof! I already had a slicktop E90 but this will be more better

I never had the full Eventuri setup (missing the lid), so I'd be curious to hear how you think it compares to my full Karbonius video. I imagine the sound levels will be similar (maybe 5-10% in favor of the Karbonius due to the thinner walls), but I'd guess the bigger difference would probably be the tone; Karbonius deeper/throatier and Eventuri more high pitched especially at higher RPMs.

That seat has got to sit super low being directly mounted to the floor like that. I need to take a sit in a profi XL again. My gut says it's still a bit too roomy for me.

Replaced the TA gears with new gears from UK rebuild. I wasnt getting any faults from the TAs however i wanted to put in new gears as a preventive measure since i bought the car used with 90k miles. Turns out they needed replacement since they were last changed at 40k miles in 2013. Was a lot cheaper than buying new TAs.

Firestone is an interesting choice! Anyone else running those?

When it comes to rubber I'm a pretty big novice (ok, set myself up for a dumb dirty joke there). I've got MP4S now but I hear that Continentals are more preferable for track use. Did I get that right?

I prefer Michelin regardless of the use. Although for more dedicated track tires the right answer is neither, go with RE71 or other more specific tires

I have ContiECS in two cars and Michelin PSS or MP4s in the other. I prefer the Michelins.

ive never heard the karbonius in person, but based on videos, i think i agree: the eventuri has a higher pitch...more of a rasp(?) at high rpms than the karbonius. both sound amazing, though!

Nice, I might do this preemptively as well. Do you have a link to UK rebuilds and were directions provided? How difficult was the job?

Had them mounted. Shop said they used a LOT of lube as they were super stiff. They said to wait a day before I give them proper willy.

Once I have some time with them, I will let you know. Raining like crazy here. So it may be a bit before I get to run them on dry pavement.

Glacier blue from IND to match the stripe on my wheel. Absolutely perfect.

Went for complete refurbished actuators myself as those include some upgraded electronics while you're at it.
