When you look at the engine teardown you see the pistons are beat to crap, yet the rod bearings almost look new. BE bearings FTW

I don't believe material wear/thickness variations is measured by anyone though.

Indeed this isn't the first time I've heard of Gintani burble tunes creating major problems… and this one is a doozy.

I had it for a while but it drew far too much attention and I've heard it causes excess wear in your engine.

they essentially tune it incorrectly to run rich on decal which causes super annoying "burbles" and farts. Sounds like shit and is obnoxious. The worst part? the OEMs are implementing it to sound cool.
I ordered 3 gallons of coolant when I only needed one. Anyone considering a burble tune is welcome to come pick up a coolant cocktail, free of charge.

Try living on a main road with selfish dicks who have those tunes backing firing (that's what it is really) nearly every day or so, really annoying! We even had some knackered 15yr old Transit flat bed doing it! I came close to getting him nicked for it, but ironically just as I finally got his full reg his van stopped doing it.
Anyway, rant over!
I don't know how Manufacturers get away with doing it, you'd think that'd breach noise limits?
