Recently downsized the fleet. Sold my X5M this past January, and all 3 of my E46 M3's in the last 2 months as well.
holy cow
people must think you're running a BMW dealership out of your house

how did you like your X5M?
i've considered getting a X5M as my 2nd vehicle when we have a 2nd baby and I need to do more of the baby dropoff/pickups... but now i'm leaning more toward getting a fun wagon of some sort

Hi, no. I did a BBK retrofit both front and rear. The truth is that I'm very happy with the result, several days on the track and intensive use and at no time have I felt the brakes falter

Behind it I have porsche 997 Carrera 4s calipers and 370mm M4 F80 rotor. I bought the calipers on ebay (germany).
I leave the link to my thread with everything more detailed if it may interest you. Any questions I will be very kind to answer you

the rear brackets were made by your mechanic?

did this change the brake pedal feel at all?
Yes, I feel the brake pedal much more consistent throughout the route

Yes, but surely any turner could make one

Swapped out my HREs to get them refinished for a new look before taking the car to the shop for a supercharger install.

Now all 3 of my e92 M3's are there LOL how expected :bellyroll:

Basically swapping the VF650 kit off my 6spd 11' Lemans blue (seen in the back with silver ZCPs) into the Frozen Gray.
Are All 3 of your e92 M3 MANUALS??!! OR do you have DCT also??

The Frozen Gray and Matte White are DCT.
Been mulling over an iDrive delete since I got the car last year. Well...

Seems like a great solution. Thank you for sharing with us and offering to answer questions.

Are you able to share the measurements/specifications of the brackets?
Long story...

I've owned my car for 2.5 years, and I just realized that it was tuned.

Previous owner didn't know it either, so somewhere along the lines, that info got lost between the first and second owner. My car had cold start disable/RPM lock at 4500 RPM (thought it was normal), and launch control, I figured it had just been coded in. No big deal. Or so I thought.

I started questioning things when when I drove other people's car and compared to mine, my car seemed...sluggish, less responsive and it bogged a bit on cold start-up drives.

After reaching out to a few tuning companies, I finally lucked out; it was tuned by BPM. We went back and forth and they confirmed my suspicions, realizing that my car was originally from Texas, it hit me; "I bet my car is tuned for 93!" and sure enough that too was confirmed. That's a problem, because I am in California.

Quickly ordered a new cable, re-tune, and license migration from Mike. Impatiently waited for everything to arrive. Loaded the new tune and went for a drive...

And I was absolutely floored! The car had never driven this good under my ownership. Smooth, responsive, and best of all, a lot more power across the RPM range.

It's like having a new car again.

Sigh*

Got called the N word in my M when I decided to take a nice Sunday evening drive (somwhere around Pasadena, MD for any DMV locals) and was cut off aggressively by some dude in a pickup truck in front of me. Assuming he didn't see me coming I drove around him. He then proceeded to tailgate me for about a mile or two on the highway. Being the troll I am I figured if this fucker wants to tailgate me I might as well go 15 MPH on the freeway until he gets bored or overcome with emotion. (He leaned towards the latter, very emotional man.)

Well as we both exited the highway onto a residential street he decided to speed up in-front of me and cut me off again. This time slamming on the breaks in an attempt to make me crash into the back of him. Luckily I swerved and avoided him then got in-front of him to avoid another attempt.

We then pulled up next to each-other at the following light which is when it got interesting.

He pulled up beside me and blurted out "You f**king N****r".

As soon as he said that I laughed to myself and pulled out my camera. Of course he then refused to repeat what he had just said. Kicking myself for not pulling the camera out earlier.. Though I attempted to bait him into saying it again, he avoided it but made some more comments then drove off after he noticed I filmed his MHIC. Like a true "pussy"..

Here's the video (link below) of the interaction along with some good info on his company posted all over his dusty ass truck.

There has been some talks on her about dash cams. Might be a good idea to purchase one had I had the misfortune of not missing him when he cut me off, twice, I may be SOL and/or in jail for stomping this bitches head off the pavement.

Fuck him.
You are lucky man. My friend did the same exact thing you did and the lunatic pulled out a gun and emptied a clip in his direction. He got hit 3 times, once in his left arm and twice in the left leg. 10yrs later and he still uses a cane to walk. He was an awesome Hockey player, that all came to end that day.

Some people unfortunately are just looking for problems. Better to get as far away from them as possible, definitely don't egg them on. Every time someone honks or flips me off, I think to myself...I'm grateful that I'm not having the kind to day that person is having.

Well, I would have to talk to him, since in that I have no idea how he did it. I just ask you for a little patience

Am I the only one that thinks the interior looks far more dated without the iDrive screen? Adding CarPlay just seals the deal.

Congrats, that's a hell of a project!

I wouldn't say dated, but I'm so used to having the screen there that the car seems incomplete without it. Maybe its because the E9x screen is so minimal compared to the dash tablets that are in vehicles today.

As far as CarPlay goes, I'm not a fan of TbT Nav or having climate controls on a screen, and I don't need Messages popping up there either, so there's really nothing I'd want from Apple (or Android for that matter). The only thing I wish is that I could get album art on my screen, nothing else.

Oh yeah, I wish I could turn down the ring alert on my car. I can be ripping along the highway at 80mph with the windows down and when the phone rings, it goes through the stereo and its so loud I jump.

The CIC widescreen looks fairly modern and CarPlay freshens up the graphics and adds tons of functionality. Climate controls are not part of ACP, no change there. I don't use TbT directions often but having Waze up on the screen for police alerts is very nice. The music app controls and album art are also welcome upgrades that modernize the car.

I should have proofread my post 7 times instead of 6.

The part about TbT was actually meant as a comment on the factory ICE stuff available in cars now, not CarPlay. I think having a touch screen to moderate anything in a car is a huge mistake, but I don't mind a display for entertainment purposes or vehicle information.

I wouldn't want Waze anywhere near me, due to the privacy leaks that come with having anything installed from Facebook. The album art update would be awesome, I admit, but I tried to install CarPlay in two of my other vehicles and it wanted me to activate Siri. I'm not a fan so that ended right there.
Bought my zcp e90 m3 6MT with 50k miles on the clock for only 30k... Looking back now I scored one hell of a deal and I didn't even know it at the time

Edit: I aquired the car 4 years ago

Waze is owned by Google, but I mean if that's the type of stuff that keeps you up then so be it. I, for one, welcome our robot overlords.

Uh oh looks like a robot has taken over your account and is vouching for his robot brother and sisters!! DO NOT TRUST!!!!
Today, I got the ol' girl wrapped, replaced all the plastic black bits to make them look fresh again, and added a rear diffuser. Now I need extended tips apparently so I don't melt the diffuser.
