Looks great!

As an aside, what phone holder are you using?
Thanks bro

As for the phone holder, I got it on Amazon:

Hehe, yes! I had the old version (pre 2009) on my car so I upgraded it and it is a nice improvement :)
I just ordered one of those from fcp yesterday! For $16 should be a nice little upgrade.

Expect PITA job :) Not enough space, damned e-clips... but it can be done. With a lot of patience :)
I also installed a clutch stop. All sellers of clutch stop which I have found don't deliver to my country so I created my own.

From right to left it is:
washer
rubber drilled from hockey puck (this is DYI just use some rubber)
one part of a universal interior rivet
the original clutch stop (cut)
the other part of the rivet

Works great and costs basically nothing.

Nothing like a 108 degree day to remind you your AC doesn't condition nada... barely had a duck fart in it! I see an evaporator replacement job coming my way in the off season. Anyways 22oz r134a and a vacuum later she's icey cold again..
How often have you had to refill? I just recently refilled mine, first time I’ve done it. Hoping that my issue is just loss from orings, etc on a 14yo car versus the dreaded evaporator issue.

It's about once a year for the last 3-4 years.. I haven't driven the car much this summer though and it hasn't worked well for a while. r134 has also gone up 250% in price since last time I bought a jug so feels wasteful and I guess it's now considered harmful for the environment, not as bad as R12 is though. I feel if I'm recharging twice a season it's time to fix the leak.
I need to get some things together on some winter projects I want done on the M3

I should do plugs since I've owned the car for a year and not sure of the last time they were changed

Also thinking about getting solid rear sub bushings done and having the rear diff fluid changed at the same time

Anyone use the solid bushings from Turner before? Look to be on sale. I am going to start doing some searching on the forums over the next couple weeks

I have these installed along with my PowerFlex Purple Front & Rear Diff bushings. Great upgrade!
I'm not a fan of the Harrop whine, I know others love it. I am already making use of the rubber gasket covering the factory airbox outlet. I was at a road race event last month and one of the people there didn't even realize their supercharged Land Rover had the same style blower because the oem design includes a cancellation chamber - no whine. I purchased intake equipment for a Land Rover and a roots blower supercharged c7 corvette. While the c7 design in particular was feasible, use of it would require a smaller than necessary air filter and undermine the bmw factory cold air intake. So creating new problems to address another.

Plan D: Dynamat on the inside of the airbox lid….will put to test this weekend.

I used the Turner subframe bushings (P/F Purple diff).
They work just fine.

The only issue I had with them (Turner) was that they sent me what appeared to be previously installed bushings.
When I opened the box, I noticed that the shrink wrap had been sliced open already, and the bushings looked less than virgin.

Their "Customer Service" department was initially super dickish about my concerns.
But after sending pictures and arguing for 45 minutes they finally agreed to return my money, once I bought another set.

I actually would have used them as is, if they would have told me what the tolerance was on the OD of the part, and if they were willing to drop the price, but they just couldn't comprehend how to do that?

Been collecting parts lately to spend a few days really knocking out some work. Be replacing almost every bushing under the car including subframe etc… carbon drive shaft, and finally got the rears powder coated and assembled. Waiting on pads and rotors. Then I guess the work begins!

Wow, carbon drive shaft. I didn't know that such thing even exists :) What is the weight difference? What are benefits? Seems to me that it could help with acceleration a lot as it is a heavy rotation part. How much is this thing?

Those engine and transmission mounts look stiff. Let us know how they feel.

Don't know the weight difference but it's super light. It's a single piece and should spool up faster and be more connected. Price in the group buy was about $1500 shipped. Waited about 4-5 months if I remember correctly.

They are the 95a mounts. They say street/track use. I've always have done poly bushings in the past so looking to see how these come out. Not worried about noise vibration etc. it's my fun car

You're in for a surprise with 95a trans mounts.

They're loud :) You'll have to let us know how you make out. I think I made it like 3 days and had to drop back to 80A. Now that car is 99% track if consider going back, but driving 80 miles to / from track would still be frustrating.

The 95a trans mount were in my car for exactly 2 hours and one test drive.

And I LIKE my car's vibration!

In went the 80a

Will do… reading on their site I went with the middle selection. I guess the 70d is the nasty ones. It says minor NVH I guess that is subjective. You got me nervous 😂

They take 15 mins to swap in and out. It's a worthwhile experiment. If you do a search on the forum you'll find most think 95A are too loud.

The engine mounts while it might vibrate more heavily at idle RPMs it'll be sublime once you're driving. It's a marked improvement to shifting with stiffer engine mounts.

i use the same phone holder
probably the best one i have used so far
as it allows for multiple adjustments to really hold its position
