Finally worked up doing the gasket covers …
Probably took me 4 hours to do but I also removed front bumper to clean and install some so air scoops and figure out this soudn whenever I hit my lip to see if anything got stuck and of course it was a huge rock??! Idk how it's possible but it's there …

These the same parts for each side or different part numbers ? For the oil separators

I got one new one and forgot check before install of which it matched…

Also I started her up and it make a sound like a clunk sound 1 time. semi concerned and let her run a minute. Turned off and ran again for 2-3 minutes no issues. But I am noticing a sound from like passenger side … I don't think from doing gasket covers … I guess I'll run her again tomorrow and record something. Semi burnt smell … idk if it's from my cleaner I used on the covers or could be something more concerning ?
keep in mind that the s65 makes noises. a lot of them and of various kinds.

not that it won't be a problem, but if you ears are too sensitive they may be paranoic.
Oil separators are the same for both sides
Finally had the time to install Angel Eye Guy rings and new lens covers along with blacking everything out!

But just found out I have to sell the car due to unplanned circumstances 😭

Another angle!

did you do the install? what lenses did you use?
Switched up my exhaust today. I've had gen 1 Active Autowerke cans on the back for the last three years; last year with their X pipe.

On the freeway it sounded like a race car with the oodles of noise bouncing off concrete barriers and bridges and I loved every second of that, but couldn't take the excessive noise everywhere else. Just so damn loud at all times. I will say with stock cats the gen 1 cans sound incredible around town. Gives the car a nice low growl at mid rpm range.

Now it's too quiet with the HFC and one set of resonators. Thinking of trying out the two or four pipe mod. Anyone have any real world experience with between the two? I'll be checking threads too but just curious how each one differs.

Edit: looks like four pipe is the way to go after 3 minutes of google searching.

Yes I did everything myself. I used Amazon covers, the fit is good. Also cleaned out old adhesive and put some new butyl seal in there!

Well, I did it, I painted my calipers

While I had the wheels off for a polish I also painted the barrels black

I'm happy with how they turned out.
Nice to see something other than red for once.

Well this seems to be a recurring frigging theme.... Not sure how you DD guys do it. Granted, mine is a fairly long commute so it would literally kill me with a visit to the pumps twice a week. Just taking it out for a spin on the weekends brings me here far too often. It sure is fun though!

I average 300KM per full tank. Always fun but this car is a thirsty pig. :)

Welcome to the club!
I somehow went from thinking of selling my car to hoarding a lot of brand new parts. Turning the car into the weapon it should have been since the beginning.

Got rid of my Airlift 3P for Fortune 500 Müller Coilovers, replaced my used supercharger with a brand new one, and installed MotorSports Hardware Studs and R26 lugs.

Just need to install my new Gintani Race exhaust that replaced my Alibaba Valved Exhaust. Super excited to hear it paired with my Challenge Sport X-Pipe and can't wait to feel how light and grippy my RIAs are with the Nankang CRS. Three piece wheels were great for photos but terrible for driving.

I've had the M Performance Wheel for 4 years now. When the car was otherwise stock, the blue stripe was fine. But once I added the red brakes, I wanted to tie the red together with a red start button and red stripe. I used red 10mm gaffers tape for the last 2 years which was a simple solution - fit perfectly, fine texture, did the trick. But in my head I knew it was tape, and I didn't like how it covered the stitching on the bottom. I'd been waiting for my alcantara to wear out to justify a rewrap with a dyed red leather stripe, but despite some people's aversion to alcantara, it's surprisingly durable and cleans up well. So I recently removed my wheel to both give it a thorough cleaning and to paint the stripe. The alcantara was in good shape since I regularly use the Sonax cleaner/brush on it, but I wanted a deeper clean, and it was hard to reach parts of it with the brush with the extended paddles.

So, off came the wheel... a deep clean ... and I painted the stripe with Angelus products. I went with their red acrylic leather paint and matte finisher. Removing the gaffers tape pulled up some of the factory blue paint, but I had no plans to return to the blue anyway. I figured, worst case, I'd just clean the wheel and put more red gaffers tape back on. I tied dental floss around the edges and then taped it off for a smooth edge. The Angelus paint and brushes are incredible, I actually think if doing it again it would be easier without floss/tape at all, if you have a steady hand. I did 2-3 coats of the red paint, which goes on smoothly and deeply, then 2 coats of the finisher. When I removed the floss/tape, the edge was okay but not perfect. Then I had the idea of wrapping some black thread along the edges, and think it cleaned it up nicely. Painting along the stitches on the bottom was easy as well with the fine brushes. Overall very happy with how it came out. Though maybe I would have gone with the flat finisher vs the matte. Should hold up well, we'll see!

Even iND paints the stitching on the bottom, and uses a higher gloss finish, for reference.

Got it, that makes sense. I swapped them, myself, for coil overs about 4 years ago and completely forgot about it lol. Thanks man

M Performance wheels are slightly smaller than the OE round leather wheel.

I don't either, but at about 15MPG or so the frequency of the fillups begins to make the cost really add up. Our gas is not too bad here, comparatively speaking, but even so. For me, I do about a 70 mile-a-day commute, then add trips to the store or just out and about on the weekend and pretty soon we are talking a rather large chunk of change, so being a DD would be out for sure. Hell, it hurts with my MINI at around 26MPG, LOL!!!
