Spent the morning installing my Evo L. Very happy with the outcome but it was a little more difficult than I thought.

Wish I could keep my QFPs but for now going back to three point with the seat will have to do.

Great weekend at Summit Point. I finished P1 Sat and Sun in TT3 and took the track record on Sunday. The old record was a 1.17.9 and I ran a 1.17.7

That right kink before the tight section was my kryptonite the one time in 2018 that I ran that track. My first time on track in 2 years so I was a bit tentative as I got back in the groove. Otherwise I had a great time as the track was fun and the BMW CCA school was pretty well run. A new M4 was out there that my instructor said was a fast driver. I kept up with him after a day learning the track (in mixed conditions).

I don't know why so many people go off at turn 9(?), the uphill right hander. It has vast sightlines and unless you take a heinous early apex, it seemed easy to do at speed. :confused2
How was "gold chains not included" missing from the package?

T4 is that fast down hill right turn, tons of grip and pretty easy to take fast once you're used to it. I don't see a ton of people go off in 9, no more than any other normal turn. Turn 10 (final right to the straight), Turn 1, and Turn 3 seem to be the worse for offs

Yeah, there is tons of grip but for whatever reason my instructor (ballast) was insistent that bad things happen if you mess the corner up so I was super cautious the whole time.

T9 was another area the instructor was insistent I be super cautious b/c of all the offs there.

In fairness, no one knew me and I didn't say anything about what I could or couldn't do in a car while I was there. I was just happy to be back on track and slowly work up the speed curve.

T4 can end very bad with the wall on the outside. A friend of mine hit that wall at 100mph after losing it in T4
