The Z4 was shackled with a 25kg weight penalty because Porsche complained (appealed) about a so called "unfair advantage" and things were never quite the same after that. Or perhaps you just meant the 12 hours of Sebring for 2012 stats? Porsche had not had their asses kicked in endurance racing for a very long time - especially not by a German car maker... Aside from full championships, the E92 M3 GT also won the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring in consecutive years, taking the GT class hardware in both 2011 and 2012. Sorry to thread jack.

Even under 4k rpm it’s a touch louder (it as everyone else has observed screams above 4k) but I’d say the biggest change is more how it sounds rather than the volume. The symphony of sounds lends itself more towards a throaty sound with little more tone (bass) as the air passes through which is emphasized more now with the thinner carbon plenum.
Overall, I hope this provides a little insight or at least a response to your question. The impact on everything else performance, mpg, etc. still need time to see what that might entail for me but enjoying the day to day drive little more now.

Been through few different exhaust systems (during 12y ownership), back to OEM since a few years and looking forward to increase the induction noise instead.
Installed second ordered customs wheels, rear end nearly spot on but i don't know what to do with front. One option to lower front end 20mm but there are too many speed bumps in new area, second option replace 235/40 R19 tyres to 265/35 R19. I miss that 4yrs ago black wheel+spacers setup.
